Mavericks Finish Regular Season with 3-1 Win at Mary

Mankato, Minn.--- The Minnesota State Mavericks traveled to Bismark, N.D. for their final regular season game against the Mary Marauders and left with a 3-1 win. The Mavericks defeated Mary by scores of 25-10, 25-17 and 25-15.

MSU was lead by freshman outside hitter Chelsea Fogarty who finished with 23 kills in the four sets. Three other Mavericks finished with double digit kills including junior outside hitter Amanda Beekman who earned 11, junior middle blocker Kimber Kuhl with 10 and junior middle blocker Amanda Thompson who finished with 10. Sophomore setter Brittany Stamer generated 50 assists in the victory. Beekman and Kuhl each had three service aces.

Minnesota State sophomore defensive specialist Alli Rice finished with a team-high 19 digs while Stamer earned 11. Thompson accumulated 6 blocks on the evening, a team-best.

The Minnesota State University Volleyball team finished the regular season 26-6 overall and 16-4 in conference play. The Maverick will find out their post season fate tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m.
