Minnesota State Playing Host to #3 Minnesota at All Seasons Arena

Mankato, Minn.--- The Minnesota State women’s hockey team continues Western Collegiate Hockey Association play this weekend when it plays host to the University of Minnesota. Friday’s contest starts at 7:07 p.m. and Saturday’s starts at 3:07 p.m. Both game will be held at All Seasons Arena.

About Minnesota: The Gophers are 8-2-0 and 6-2-0 in the WCHA. In their last action, the Gophers traveled to Wisconsin and suffered their only two losses of the season. The Gophers were defeated by scores of 4-2 and 5-2. Minnesota is led by junior forward Emily West (6-8--14), sophomore forward Sarah Erickson (10-1--11) and freshman goaltender Noora Raty (5-1-0, 1.17, .960). All of Raty’s statistics lead the conference.

MSU/UMN History: The Mavericks are 3-44-2 all-time against the Gophers. Two of Minnesota State’s victories over Minnesota came in the 2006-07 season and the other in 2003-04.
