Bruch enters her third season with the Mavericks after being hired in April of 2024.
During her first two year years with the Mavericks, Minnesota State skated to a 14-21-2 record in 2024-25 and a 17-19-2 record in 2025-26, a win total that established a new school record for victories in a season.
During her time at Minnesota State the Mavericks have collected six wins over teams ranked in the top ten, including four wins in 2025-26 as Minnesota State swept second-ranked
Minnesota in a home-and-home series, winning 3-1 at Ridder Arena before picking up a 4-1 victory at home. Additionally, the Mavericks defeated ninth-ranked Minnesota Duluth, two games to one, in the best of three series to open the WCHA Playoffs, advancing to the Final Faceoff for just the second time in program history.
While at Minnesota State, Bruch works primarily with the goaltenders. Senior goaltender Hailey Hansen has posted 24 wins under Bruch’s tutelage, including nine shutouts and has been named the WCHA’s Goaltender of the Week five times.
Â
Prior to her arrival at Minnesota State, Bruch served as the goaltending coach at Yale since 2021. While at Yale, she helped the Bulldogs achieve their most successful season in 2021-22, culminating in the program's first appearance in the NCAA Frozen Four National Semifinals. The team finished 26-9-1, including 10 shutouts (school record). Senior Gianna Meloni also broke the school record for lowest goals against average.
Â
A year later, Yale achieved Ivy and ECAC Regular Season Championships. Goaltender Pia Dukaric was named ECAC Goaltender of the Year and a top-10 National Goalie of the Year and Patty Kazmaier Award Finalist. This season, Dukaric set a career shutout record and became the quickest goaltender to reach 50 career wins.
Â
Bruch has been featured in USA Hockey Magazine and has worked with numerous USA Hockey regional and national selection camps.
Â
Over the past three international seasons, Bruch has served with the U-18 team as the goaltending coach at the IIHF World Championships. In 2026, she brought home the gold following USA's 2-0 win over Canada in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. She will once again serve as the goaltending coach for team USA this winter in Czechia.
Â
Bruch was USA Hockey's U22 Goaltending Coach in 2022 and 2023, which included two series wins over Team Canada. She is currently the U18 Goaltending Evaluator for USA Hockey and the Goaltending Evaluator for Girls U15, 16/17.
Â
Bruch served as a Goaltending Consultant/Scout for the Omaha Lancers (USHL) (2022-24) and as a Goaltending Coach for Albertus Magnus College (men's NCAA Division III hockey) from 2019-2024. She is also a head coach with Pro Crease Goaltending (2018-24), and currently still works with the organization as a guest coach and assists with offseason programing.
The former Bemidji State University goaltender graduated in 2017 with a Master's Degree in Business Administration and returned for the 2017-18 season as Director of Hockey and Video Operations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance (2016).
