MANKATO, Minn. - The Minnesota State women's hockey team has dropped one spot to No. 15 in this week's edition of the USCHO.com Division I Women's Hockey Poll, after sweep of RPI.
The Mavericks started off their season with a series sweep over RPI, marking their fourth straight opening series sweep. On Friday, the Mavericks got goals from four different skaters to win the opener 4-1. They followed that up with a 5-3 win on Saturday behind multi-goal games from Mercury Bischoff and Zoe Lopez.
Minnesota State will be back on the ice this weekend to take on WCHA foe No. 13 St. Cloud State at the Mayo Clinic HSEC. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday, and then at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
