INDIANAPOLIS --- The participants for the 2026 NCAA Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships have been announced. Twenty-two Maverick student-athletes, 13 men and nine women, will compete in several events, including one relay.
Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching a provisional standard established for each event.
The two-day NCAA Championships will be held from March 13-14 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va. The championships will be streamed on NCAA.com
The men's indoor track and field team is rated sixth in Division II after claiming their 15th consecutive NSIC Indoor Championship. The women's track and field team is ranked fifth in Division two after winning their sixth straight NSIC Indoor Championship.
For each individual event contested, the top 18 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition, the top 12 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted, and for the heptathlon and pentathlon the top 16 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. Heat sheets will be available at this same website by Tuesday, March 10.
