MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State head football coach Todd Hoffner has announced that 30 student-athletes will join the Maverick football team this fall.

All signings are contingent upon admission to MSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

This year's recruiting class features 30 student-athletes from six different states including Minnesota (12), Wisconsin (12), Illinois (2), Nebraska (2), Iowa (1) and North Dakota (1).
 
"The Future State is rich with future Mavericks in the class of 2026," head coach Todd Hoffner said. "This is a true 30-for-30 story—30 recruits from all across the Midwest, each one bringing a different chapter to what we're building. I've always believed luck favors programs that invest in linemen, because games, seasons, and legacies are still decided up front." 

"At the same time, this class is loaded with dynamic playmakers on both offense and defense who can change momentum in a heartbeat. It's the blend of toughness in the trenches and explosive skill that gives a roster its personality. When you put luck, linemen, and difference-makers together, you give yourself a chance to be special."

Minnesota State finished its 2025 season with a 10-4 record as the Mavericks advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
