LILBURN, Ga. — Minnesota State women's basketball climbed to the top spot in this week's WBCA Coaches Poll, checking in at No. 1 for the first time this season. The Mavericks remain the only undefeated team in Division II, holding a perfect 24-0 record.
MSU had been ranked No. 2 for nine consecutive weeks before moving up after Grand Valley State suffered a 78-77 loss to Wayne State (Mich.) last week. The Mavericks earned 23 first-place votes and were last ranked No. 1 in the WBCA Preseason Poll on Oct. 29, 2024.
Head Coach Emilee Thiesse and her squad look to keep their unbeaten season intact as they travel to face Augustana on Thursday, Feb. 12. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. inside the Elmen Center, with the game available to watch live on the NSIC Network.
