NEW ORLEANS - Minnesota State men's indoor track and field was rated No. 4 in NCAA Division II by USTFCCCA at checkpoint No. 1 on Tuesday. Wingate was the top rated team in the nation, followed by Pittsburg State (Kansas), Grand Valley State and Minnesota State.

The Mavericks were also the only team rated inside the top-20 in the NSIC.

The Mavericks have competed in three meets this season, including the Chuck Petersen Open and the Bearson/Gathje Classic at home. Friday and Saturday, MSU hosts the Mark Schuck Open & Multi at Myers Field House, which features more than 20 schools from multiple NCAA divisions. Fans unable to attend can watch on the NSIC Network.
