BURNSVILLE, Minn. - Minnesota State Senior Rinaldo Moore was named NSIC Track Athlete of the Week and junior Sheldon McNicholas was named NSIC Field Athlete of the Week by the conference office on Tuesday. Both turned in exceptional performances last week at the Bearson/Gathje Classic. 

Minnesota State indoor track and field is in Iowa City, Iowa for the Larry Wieczorek Invitational on January 23-24.

Rinaldo Moore (Hurdles/Sprints, Sr., Port Au Spain, Trinidad and Tobago) - Minnesota State
- Won the 60-m hurdles with a meet record time of 7.98 at the Bearson/Gathje Classic
- The time is tied for the seventh best in NCAA Division II this season
 
Sheldon McNicholas (Jumps, Jr., North Chesterfield, Va. / Monacan HS) - Minnesota State
- Set a meet record and personal best at Bearson/Gathje Classic in triple jump
- Landed at 15.38m (50-5.50), second best in NCAA Division II this season
- Also ran 60 meter dash prelims and finished seventh in a time of 7.29
