MANKATO, Minn. – With final grades in and the 2024-25 academic year complete, Minnesota State is proud to report its student-athletes recorded a cumulative grade point average of 3.40 in the spring semester, which stands as the second-best term GPA in school history.
The mark continued a streak of nine top-10 single semesters over the past 10 terms.

HIGHLIGHTS
- All 20 teams had at least a 3.00 GPA for the fall (3.14). It was only the sixth time in department history each program exceeded a 3.00 GPA, all of which have come in the past 11 semesters.
- Minnesota State men's teams held a combined GPA of 3.28, which is tied for the third highest mark in school history. They extended their streak to 18 straight semesters with at least a 3.00 combined GPA and eight straight terms with at least a 3.20 GPA.
- Minnesota State women's teams combined for a 3.62 GPA, the second highest mark in department history, trailing only Spring 2020 (3.66, COVID-relief term). It was also the 32nd consecutive semester with a combined GPA of at least 3.30 and the 11th straight term with a combined GPA of at least 3.40. MSU women's teams have earned at least a 3.00 GPA for the 20th time in the past 21 semesters.
- Two teams set program records for highest GPA. Women's hockey posted a 3.79 GPA, topping their previous mark of 3.78 from Fall 2024. Men's golf posted a 3.67 GPA, topping 3.55 in Spring 2023.
- Three teams set second place marks for highest GPA in program history, including women's cross country (3.74), softball (3.65) and women's track & field (3.51).
- 208 student-athletes achieved Dean's List honors in Spring semester, and 117 earned perfect 4.0 grade point averages.
