Ten Home Matches Highlight 2025 Maverick Soccer Schedule

MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's soccer team will compete in 18 regular season matches during the upcoming 2025 season, including 10 home matches played at The Pitch.

Last season, the Mavericks finished with an 18-2-7 record as they went on to win the NSIC regular season and tournament championships. MSU would then advance to its first NCAA Championship match in team history where it fell to Cal Poly Pomona 2-1.

MSU begins its season with three exhibition contests at home it takes on St. Catherine on Aug. 22 at 3 p.m. and UW-Stout on Aug. 24 at 1 p.m. The Mavericks wrap up their exhibition slate on Aug. 30 as they host Northwest Missouri State at 1 p.m.

Minnesota State opens its regular season schedule with a pair of home 3 p.m. matches on the weekend of Sept. 5-7. MSU will take on Central Oklahoma on Sept. 5, before facing Central Missouri on Sept. 7. Last season, the Mavericks defeated Central 1-0 in double overtime to win the NCAA Central Region Championship.

MSU then begins a three-match road trip starting on Sept. 12 as it takes on Grand Valley State at 7 p.m. Minnesota State squared off with GVSU in the NCAA Elite Eight last season. The Mavericks defeated the Lakers 5-4 in a shootout to make their first ever appearance in the NCAA Final Four.

Minnesota State opens its NSIC schedule on the road as it takes on UMary on Sept. 19 at 3 p.m., before facing Minot State on Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. Last season, MSU defeated both the Marauders and the Beavers in the final two rounds to secure its 10th NSIC Tournament Championship.

MSU wraps up the month of September with a pair of home games. Sept. 26 will see the Mavericks host Northern State at 3 p.m. and NSIC newcomer Jamestown on Sept. 28 at 1 p.m.

The month of October will see Minnesota State compete in nine matches, five of which that will take place on the road. MSU opens the month with road matches against Southwest Minnesota State on Oct. 3 (3 p.m.) and Sioux falls on Oct. 5 (1 p.m.). The Mavericks then return home for a pair of road matches against Minnesota Duluth on Oct. 10 (3 p.m.) and Bemidji State on Oct. 12 (1 p.m.).

MSU will then head up to Concordia-St. Paul on Oct. 17, before returning home for a 1 p.m. match against Winona State on Oct. 19. The Mavericks will then head north to wrap up their regular season road schedule. MSU will face Minnesota Crookston on Oct. 24 at 3 p.m., before squaring off with MSU Moorhead on Oct. 26 at 1 p.m.

MSU's final three regular season matches will take place at The Pitch, beginning with a Halloween contest against Augustana at 3 p.m. Minnesota State will then face Wayne State on Nov. 2 at 1 p.m., before wrapping its regular season schedule on Nov. 6 against St. Cloud State at 1 p.m. Last season, MSU defeated St. Cloud State 2-1 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

The NSIC Tournament will be held from Nov. 10-16, with sites to be determined.

The first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament are scheduled for the weekend of Nov. 21-23, while the weekends for the NCAA Central Region Championship and the NCAA Elite Eight are scheduled for Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 5-6, respectively.

The NCAA Final Four will be held at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, Colo. The Final Four is scheduled for Dec. 12, with the NCAA Championship game set to follow on Dec. 14.
