MANKATO, Minn. – Hosting an outdoor meet for the first time this season at the Mark Schuck Outdoor Track & Field Complex, both Minnesota State men's and women's teams won convincingly Saturday afternoon at home.

Men's track and field scored 288 points, well ahead of second place Dakota State (97) and third place Concordia-St. Paul (81). Women's track and field posted 349 points, putting Winona State (104) and Dakota State (66) out of range.

MEN'S RESULTS
Richlu Tudee ran 10.35 in 100 meter dash for a personal best, meet record and new Division II tenth fastest time this season. Tudee impressed again in 200 meters, with his first place time of 20.65, a meet record (fourth in Division II). Second place Samuel Eben Ebai (21.18, 29
th in Division II) and third place
Jayden Singleton (21.19, 31
st in Division II) also eclipsed the meet record in the event.

More meet records fell in 4x100 meter relays, as the team of
D'Eric Smith,
Kemarri Stewart, Eben Ebai and Tudee set the venue all-time record with a time of 39.84 (first in Division II). The 4x400 meter relays went equally well with first place
Chance Swenson,
Kyler Bade,
Jayden Singleton and
Mael Delahaye contributing to the meet record in a time of 3:19.10 (65
th in Division II).

Jalen McGee took second place in 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.13, one position ahead of teammate
Owen Petersohn while
Diego Sekiyama-Nava ran to second place in 400 meter hurdles with a time of 55.01 (86
th in Division II).

The Mavericks dominated in 1500 meters and took each of the top five spots (and eight of the top ten).
Paul Lins led the group with a time of 4:03.69.

In the field, Joshua Beiswanger set a meet record in hammer throw with his mark of 56.86m (186-06).
Jacob Ziebarth took third place in high jump at 1.97m (6-5.50)(59
th in Division II).

McGee and Slade Health both pushed past the meet record in long jump. McGee landed at 7.33m (24-00.75) and Heald marked 7.30m (23-11.50)(18
th in Division II).

Ben Wieser picked up a season best performance in shot put with a mark at 16.68m (54-8.75)(27
th in Division II).
Sheldon McNicholas's first place triple jump amounted to another meet record (14.74m, 48-4.50)(17
th in Division II).

WOMEN'S RESULTS
Picking up where she left off during indoor season,
Adeyah Brewster set the meet record in 100 meters for the Mavericks with a first place prelims finish and provisional time of 11.87 (29
th in Division II).

Norah D'almeida led the field in the 100 meter finals with a time of 12.03.

In 100 meter hurdles, four Mavericks established meet records, including
Grace Johnson in first place (13.36, personal best),
Ashanti Harvey (13.62, fifth in Division II),
Esaba Okwaramoi (13.80, seventh in Division II) and
Ally Hammond (13.95, 11
th in Division II, personal best). In 100 meter prelims, Johnson and Brewster ran the quickest two times in Division II, including Johnson's personal record of 13.29 (provisional mark).

The Mavericks were equally dominant in 200 meter dash with each of the top-five times and four personal records broken.
Grace Obour led the charge with a meet record time of 23.83 (11
th in Division II). D'almeida also broke the meet record with a time of 24.34 (39
th in Division II).

Brianna Shroyer ran the 400 meters in 56.38, good for a personal best and meet record (60
th in Division II).
Miranda Lauvstad managed the 400 meter hurdles with a first place meet record time of 1:00.29 (eighth in Division II).

Isabela Shepard (2:19.52),
Kennedy Speer (2:24.28) and
Danielle Malone (2:26.11) occupied the top three spots in 800 meters while
Ashley Overgaauw won the 1500 meter run in 4:45.46.

In 3000 meter steeplechase,
Madison Matzek crossed the line first in 11:28.40. Overgaauw also placed second in 5000 meters (18:00.25).

The 4x400 meter relay team of Shroyer,
Robynn Rolle-Curry,
Grace Obour and
Elizabeth Schmidt set the meet record with their first place time of 3:50.30 (29
th in Division II).

In the field,
Lily Beneke won the hammer throw with a toss of 54.78m (179-08).
Elise Jensen came in second in discus (45.62m, 149-08).
Olivia Solis set her personal best and topped the podium in high jump at 1.67m (5-5.75)(26
th in Division II). Lauvstad's long jump mark, 6.38m (20-11.25) was also the best in Division II this spring.

Elvira Collvin and
Makayla Miles set meet records in pole vault. Collvin was second in the event (3.80m, 12-5.50).
Ghada Hamdani led a strong MSU showing in triple jump with a first place mark of 12.42m (40-9.00)(sixth in Division II) as MSU staked down each of the top five positions.
The javelin saw senior
Kassidy Siedow finish second with a toss of 40.00-meters which established a career-best mark.Â

Minnesota State men's and women's outdoor track and field is back in action this week as it sends contingents to the Bryan Clay Invitational (Apr. 16), Pacific Coast Intercollegiate (Apr. 17), Mt. SAC Relays (Apr. 17-19), Minnesota State Invitational (Apr. 18) and Long Beach Invite (Apr. 18-19). The Mavericks look to build upon strong indoor season finishes. MSU's women were national runners up and the men finished 14
th in the nation.
