Drake Hayward received All-American Honors after their performances on Friday (March 14).

At 157-lb. from Winneconne, Wis., Meunier started the day strong with a win by fall over No. 4 Casey Barnett (Tiffin) at 4:29 in the second period. Meunier had the only two takedowns of the match and earned a stalling point soon before the fall. After a loss in the quarterfinals, Meunier found himself against No. 3 Jake Nicolosi (Mount Olive), coming away with a 13-5 major decision win to move on to Day 2 and cement his All-American status.

Out of Neenah, Wis., at 174-lb., Hayward went 3-1 on the day after winning in the preliminary rounds then losing to No. 7 Matt Ortiz (McKendree) in the first round. Battling back, Hayward beat Wyatt Reisz (Colorado School of Mines) by an 11-3 major decision, and Augustus Dalton (Colorado Mesa) in a close 8-7 decision to collect his first All-American award and advance to Day 2.

True freshman
Colton Hush, 141-lb., from Woodville, Wis., finished his season going 2-2 today at the DII NCAA Championships. Hush had a 6-3 decision win in the prelim round over Pedro Velazquez (MSU Moorhead), along with a win by forfeit over No. 9 Angel Flores (Adams State) in the first consolation round.

Meunier and Hayward will continue tomorrow, Saturday, March 15
th, both battling for third place in their respective brackets.
