After a 3-1 performance on Friday, Hayward (174-lb.) started Saturday with a close 6-5 decision win over No. 10 Dalton Gimbor (Kutztown) to advance to the consolation semifinals. Hayward met No. 7 Matt Ortiz (McKendree) out on the mat again after a loss to Ortiz yesterday in the first round of competition. The match went into overtime with the scored tied 1-1 and ended when Hayward caught Ortiz to get the takedown and move onto the third-place match. In his final match, Hayward faced No. 3 Bryce Dagel (St. Cloud State) and won by a tight 4-3 decision to place third and bring some hardware back to Mankato.

At 157-lb., Meunier faced conference opponent Kaden Renner (UMary) to begin Day 2, winning by a 10-8 decision to advance to the consolation semifinals. After a loss in the semifinals, Meunier looked to end the season with a win. Up against Central Missouri's No. 8 John Ridle, Meunier allowed zero points for the match to win by an 8-0 major decision and claim fifth place.

The Mavericks end their season with an 8-5 overall dual record, 5-4 conference dual record, including two-All American awards, and a third and fifth place finish by Hayward and Meunier, respectively.
