BURNSVILLE, Minn. --- Minnesota State seniors
Kyreese Willingham and
Justin Eagins have garnered All-NSIC First Team honors for their efforts on the court this season.
A guard from Waseca, Minn., this marks the second time in his career that
Kyreese Willingham has been named to the All-NSIC First Team, with the previous time coming during the 2023-24 season. This season, Willingham has started in all 30 games for the Mavericks and leads the team in scoring with 19.5 points per game. He is also averaging 5.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists a game, while shooting 47.5% from the field. Willingham has notched at least 20 points in 14 games this season and has recorded two double-doubles.
A guard from Downers Grove, Ill., this is the second time in his career that
Justin Eagins has been named to the All-NSIC First, with the first time coming during the 2021-22 season when he was with Wayne State. Last season, he was named to the All-NSIC Second Team. As a senior Eagins has played and started in 27 games this season as he has averaged 15.3 points and a team-leading 5.0 assists a game while shooting 41.3% from the field. Eagins also leads the team in three pointers made with 77 and has scored at least 20 points in eight games this season.
Minnesota State continues its season on Sunday as it takes on St. Cloud State in the quarterfinals of the NSIC Tournament. Tip-off is scheduled 4:30 p.m. at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
