DEEPHAVEN, Minn. – Two Minnesota State men's hockey student-athletes were named CCHA Player of the Month for November, including senior goaltender
Alex Tracy (Chicago, Ill.) and junior defenseman
Evan Murr (Stillwater, Minn.). The Mavericks held a 6-1-2 record in the month.

Murr led Maverick defensemen with three goals and eight assists in November and was also CCHA Player of the Month in October. He posted three assists in wins against Lake Superior State (Nov. 15) and Northern Michigan (Nov. 28). Murr also totaled 25 shots and seven blocks.

Murr is currently fourth among Division I defensemen with 16 points on the year (first among CCHA blueliners). He is also eighth among Division I defensemen in assists with 10. His plus-13 rating ranks second in the CCHA. Murr passed Akito Hirose (2020-23) for 16th on MSU's all-time career leaderboard for defenseman points with 69 over the weekend.

Tracy was named CCHA player of the week for the third straight week on Monday. Starting all nine games in November, he totaled 246 saves for a .939 save percentage, helping the Mavericks ascend to the top of the conference standings. Tracy leads the conference in both save percentage and goals against average. He notched a 35 save shutout at Northern Michigan (Nov. 28) and a 12 save shutout against Michigan Tech (Nov. 21). His shutout at Northern Michigan last weekend moved him into third place on the MSU men's hockey all-time career shutouts chart with 10 (Stephon Williams, 10).

Tracy currently ranks ninth in Division I save percentage and 10
th in goals against average. Last year's CCHA Player of the Year, Tracy was also CCHA Goaltender of the Month last November, March and April, and made 42 saves in the 2024-25 NCAA Fargo Region semifinal against eventual national champion Western Michigan. He is the leader among NCAA Division I active goaltenders in career wins (55).
Other CCHA Players of the Month for November included forward Stiven Sardarian (Michigan Tech) and rookie Noah Morneau (Bowling Green).

The Mavericks (10-2-4, 7-1-2 CCHA) have won six straight games and are home to host Ferris State on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7:07 p.m. CT and Saturday, Dec. 6 at 6:07 p.m. CT.
