DEEPHAVEN, Minn. --- Minnesota State senior goaltender Alex Tracy was named the CCHA Goaltender of the Week for the sixth time this season (14th career) on Monday (March 2).

In total, Tracy recorded 41 saves on 43 shots in last weekend's series against Northern Michigan for a .953 save percentage. On Friday, he stopped 21 shots in MSU's 2-2 tie against Northern Michigan, before stopping a pair of shots in the shootout to secure the extra point in the CCHA standings. On Saturday, Tracy recorded his fourth shutout of the season as he stopped all 20 shots to help the Mavericks secure the CCHA regular season championship.

Tracy was named the Goaltender of the Week five times last season, twice in 2023-24 and once in 2022-23.

Minnesota State (18-9-7, 14-7-5 CCHA) hosts Ferris State (7-25-2, 6-18-2 CCHA) this weekend in the first round of the CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs. Game one is scheduled for Friday, at 7:07 p.m., with game two set for Saturday at 6:07 p.m. Game three will be held on Sunday at 5:07 p.m., if necessary.
