MANKATO, Minn. - Minnesota State men's hockey improved one position in both USA Hockey/The Rink Live and USCHO.com NCAA Division I national rankings polls to No. 13 on Monday (Dec. 1). The Mavericks have won six straight games, including CCHA sweeps of Lake Superior State, Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan and are in first place in the conference standings.

The Mavericks (10-2-4, 7-1-2 CCHA) are home to host Ferris State on Friday, December 5 at 7:07 p.m. CT and Saturday, December 6 at 6:07 p.m. CT.

Michigan (15-3-0) remained the top ranked team in the nation for a second week in a row, followed by Wisconsin, Michigan State, Minnesota Duluth and Denver. Other CCHA schools receiving national votes included Bemidji State, Bowling Green, Michigan Tech and Augustana.

The USA Hockey/The Rink Live Men's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the AHCA and USA Hockey. The USCHO.com Poll consists of 50 voters, including 28 coaches from the Division I conferences and 22 beat writers and sports professionals from across the country. The poll, published weekly by the Associated Press, is a production of USCHO.com, which provides in-depth coverage of college hockey.
