MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State women's hockey earned its first national ranking of the season, coming in at No. 15 in Monday's (Nov. 24) USCHO Division I National Poll. The Mavericks (8-7-1, 4-7-1 WCHA) surged into the rankings after sweeping the No. 3 Minnesota Gophers this past weekend for the first time since 2006.
MSU claimed a 3–1 victory Friday at Ridder Arena before returning home to secure a 4–1 win Saturday at the Mayo Clinic HSEC.
This marks the Mavericks' first appearance in the poll since Feb. 4, 2023, when they were also ranked No. 15. Prior to that, Minnesota State had not been ranked since Dec. 2, 2005, when the program reached No. 8.
The Mavericks return to action this weekend as they host Dartmouth in a non-conference series at the Mayo Clinic HSEC.
