MANKATO, Minn. - Minnesota State Athletics and Crooked Pint Ale House invite members of the public to attend the second annual "Maverick 507 Days" celebration on Tuesday, May 7 (5-07) from 5-7 p.m. at 1850 Madison Ave Suite 1 (The Pond on Madison/Crooked Pint Ale House).
 
The event is free and will feature live music on the patio and appearances from current Maverick players and coaches, including National Champion basketball head coaches Emilee Thiesse and Matt Margenthaler, along with many players from both teams.  
 
This is a "rain or shine" program and will be moved inside, on-site to "The Venue" in the event of inclement weather. A live band will perform throughout the event and a brief program will take place at 6 p.m., featuring several dignitaries, including Minnesota State President Dr. Edward Inch.
 
All those attending will have the opportunity for photos with both NCAA Division II National Champion trophies. Coaches and student-athletes from other programs are expected to be on hand, offering the opportunity for fans to interact and gather autographs.  Games and other activities are also planned.
 
"We are very excited to continue to grow and build on this event in its second year," said Director of Athletics Kevin Buisman. "Crooked Pint Ale House is a terrific venue to bring the #MavFam together again.  We have much to celebrate this year and this a great way to connect with our fans and supporters. We hope everyone will come out and join us for what we believe will be a fun-filled evening."
 
Minnesota State will also utilize this event to recognize and thank its corporate partners and sponsors, including Crooked Pint Ale House, for their continued support of Maverick Athletics.
