MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State (30-15, 25-9 NSIC) was blanked by No. 14 Augustana (36-8, 27-6 NSIC) by a final of 3-0 Monday afternoon at Bowyer Field.

Despite being shut out, the Mavericks were about to produce eight hits against Augustana's pitching staff. Sophomore Matthew Fleischhacker led the charge offensively going 2-4 on the afternoon.

"It was a big series win for us but today we came up short. Give Augustana credit for making a couple big plays at home plate and their pitcher kept us off balance all day, head coach Matt Magers stated. "Junior Spencer Wright stood out in relief keeping us close down the stretch."

Minnesota State will look to get back in the win column tomorrow against Wayne State. The first pitch is scheduled for 11 a.m.
