INDIANAPOLIS --- The Minnesota State softball team has appeared in the first edition of the NCAA Central Region rankings.
The 10 teams listed in the first installment of the regional rankings are listed in alphabetical order.
The NCAA Central Region is made up of teams from the NSIC, Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Great American Conference (GAC). Automatic bids are awarded to the winners of the NSIC, MIAA and GAC Tournaments, with the final five spots awarded on an at-large basis.
The softball selections will be announced on NCAA.com on Monday, May 6. The NCAA Championships are scheduled for May 19-25 at Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park in Longwood, Fla.
