DAVENPORT, Fla. --- Minnesota State (6-8) won its final game of the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational after limiting Northwood University (2-8) to just two hits in today's 6-0 final in Davenport, Fla.

The Mavericks got the scoring started in the second inning when sophomore Tanner Thompson doubled to left field and scored on a senior Ryan Friedges RBI single - his twelfth RBI on the season.

The Mavericks' offense would cap off its damage with runs in the seventh and eighth innings to hang onto their sixth win on the season by a final of 6-0.
