Box Score WINONA, Minn. -
Chiara Carnelutti collected wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles to help Minnesota State over Winona State 6-1 Saturday at Winona Tennis Center.
"Today was a great win for the team," said head coach
Tristen Bryant-Otake. "We bounced back really strongly after last week's loss. I was happy for all our players to get in exhibition matches in the lineup as well. We stepped up there and played with great attitudes, energy and hunger for wins. We have a challenging spring break week ahead but I think we learned a lot from this match which will help us."
The Mavericks began with a doubles sweep. Carnelutti teamed with
Avery Stilwell to win 6-2 over Sara Anderson and Ally Burger.
Freia Lawrence and
Hana Minisy won at No. 2 6-3 and
