BURNSVILLE, Minn. --- Minnesota State junior
McKayla Armbruster has been named the NSIC Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.
A junior pitcher from Faribault, Minn., Armbruster went 4-0 this past week, including a pair of shutouts against UMary and Minot State. She also struck out 35 batters and maintained a 1.40 ERA. In 25.0 innings, Armbruster allowed just two walks while holding opposing batters to a .265 batting average.
Armbruster received the award previously on February 21.
Minnesota State begins competition in the NSIC Tournament this Wednesday as it takes on St. Cloud State. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m., and will be held on Field A at the RYFSA Complex in Rochester, Minn.
