Des Moines, Iowa – Nine Mavericks record top 10 marks on day three of the Drake Relays, including an incredible performance in the sprint medley relay.

Leading off the relay was freshman
Qai Hussey followed by senior
Kenry Atubel, both sprinting a 200m dash. Next up was junior
Rashion Walker with a 400m dash, and bringing up the rear was junior
Tanner Maier with an 800m dash to end with a time of 3:21.47. The first place finish for the group puts them at the top of the MSU all-time top performances list.

The 4x200m relay also had success with a fifth place finish. The team included junior
Prince Nti, sophomore
Armondo Colome, sophomore
Ezekiel Clarke, and sophomore
Marvin Dure with a time of 1:27.29.

Walker and Hussey also competed in the 400m dash, with Walker finishing in fifth (48.37) and Hussey finishing in eighth (48.65).

Junior
Onyekachi Ukaobasi was MSU's lone triple jump placer, with a jump of 15.04 (49' 4.25") to place fourth in the event.

The Mavericks have one final day of competition tomorrow at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
