Mankato, Minn. -- Minnesota State (25-10, 15-5 NSIC) dominated Southwest Minnesota State (18-11, 10-9 NSIC) by a final of 12-3. The second game of the midweek doubleheader was suspended due to inclement weather.

Ryan Wickman made the Mustangs pay with a three-run home run to give the Mavericks the early lead. Wickman is now in a three-way tie for most homers on the year with Byrne and junior

The Mavericks' offense picked up in the third with five hits in the inning driving home an additional five runs increasing the Mavericks' lead to eight runs.
Minnesota State finished the seven-inning tilt scoring at least one run in each of the last three innings compiling 12 runs on the afternoon.

Hunter Ranweiler lead the Mavericks' offense combining for five RBIs and going 5-8 between the two.

Taisei Yahiro (5-0) went the distance for the Mavericks pitching all seven innings for his first complete game in the purple and gold.
Shay Endres (2-4) was tagged with the loss after surrendering eight runs on seven hits.
