MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State continues its season this week at home as it takes on Sioux Falls on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m., before traveling to MSU Moorhead on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m., doubleheader and Northern State on Sunday for a 12:00 p.m., doubleheader.

Concerning the Mavericks: Minnesota State enters the week the owner of an 22-14 record, including an 11-7 NSIC record. Last week, MSU split its doubleheaders against Upper Iowa (W, 5-3 & L, 6-4) and Minnesota Crookston (L, 16-13 & W, 7-0), while sweeping Bemidji State (W, 8-0 & W, 9-0).

Junior Ellie Tallman leads the Maverick hitters with a .389 batting average as she has tallied 42 hits and 19 RBI. Junior Kylie Sullivan is batting .362 with seven home runs and 19 RBI also, while freshman Ava Smithson has tallied a team-leading 10 home runs and 27 RBI.

Junior McKayla Armbruster leads the Mavericks in the circle this season with a 13-7 record and a 1.64 ERA. Armbruster has struck out 136 batters and has held opposing hitters to a .205 batting average. Sophomore Sophia Del Vecchio has put together a 4-3 record, to go along with a 3.14 ERA also. Junior Kacy Nickerson owns a 4-3 record to go with a 3.74 ERA as well.

Lori Meyer is in her 39th season as head coach at Minnesota State. She owns a 1,357-728-3 record. 

Concerning the Cougars: Sioux Falls enters the week the owner of an 18-17 record, including a 9-7 NSIC record. USF swept UMary with a pair of 6-5 wins in its most recent games. The Cougars will take on Southwest Minnesota State on Tuesday, before traveling to Mankato on Wednesday.

Lexie Swift is batting .349 with 37 hits and 26 runs scored. Kait Van Der Zwaag has notched seven home runs and 29 RBI, while Rylie Jones has tallied 32 hits and 15 stolen bases.

Van Der Zwaag owns a 12-5 record in the circle to go along with  a 4.41 ERA and 40 strikeouts. Hanna Cress has tallied a 3-9 record, to go with a 6.91 ERA.

Shannon Pivovar is in her fifth season as head coach of the Cougars. She owns a 103-104 record.

Concerning the Dragons: MSU Moorhead enters the week the owner of a 24-10 record, including a 12-4 NSIC record. The Dragons split their recent doubleheader against Wayne State, losing the first game 6-1 before winning the second game 14-4.

Mack Gallagher is batting .432 with nine home runs and 45 RBI, while Azalya Lopez is batting .356 with 11 doubles and 25 RBI. Evey Evans is batting .326 with six home runs and 27 runs scored.

Evans owns a 6-3 record to go with a 2.86 ERA and 18 strikeouts. Reece Dahl owns a 2-3 record, including a 4.67 ERA also.

Mike Armitage is in his second season as head coach at MSU Moorhead. He owns a 32-46 record.

Concerning the Wolves: Northern State enters the week the owner of a 12-24 record, including a 6-10 NSIC record. NSU was swept by Augustana in its most recent outings by the scores of 8-7 and 11-0.

Liv Richardson is batting .333 with 14 runs scored and 11 RBI. Claire Zbylut is batting .305 with three home runs and 18 RBI. 

Lexi Chase owns a 5-10 record to go with a 4.79 ERA and 51 strikeouts.

Ashley Schilling is in his second season as head coach of the Wolves. She owns a 24-62 record.
