BEMIDJI, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team finished its regular season schedule with a 7-0 sweep of Minnesota Crookston.
With the win, MSU improves to 13-1, including a 10-1 NSIC record. With the loss, UMC drops to 7-10, including a 2-9 conference record. Minnesota State's 10 NSIC wins are the most in a season since joining the NSIC back in 2009.
The Mavericks won all three of the doubles matches to secure the first point of the dual.

Avery Stilwell defeated Madeleine Schneider and Sarah Velasquez 6-1 in the No. 1 doubles match, while senior
Chiara Carnelutti and sophomore
Freia Lawrence defeated Kavya Singh and Michelle Swyter 6-0 in the No. 2 doubles match. Freshman
Daria Podmogilnaia and sophomore
Hana Minisy posted a 6-2 win in the No. 3 doubles match against Tasha Achermann and Samantha Gutierrez as well.
Minnesota State then went on to win all six of the singles matches to secure the 7-0 win. This marks MSU's eighth 7-0 sweep of the season.
Lawrence defeated Schneider 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-4) in the No. 1 singles match, while Carnelutti posted a 6-3, 6-1 win over Singh in the No. 2 singles match. Podmogilnaia notched a 6-1, 6-0 win over Swyter in the No. 3 singles match, while freshman
McKenna DeMarce bested Velasquez 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 4 singles match. Sophomore

Brynn Psooy defeated Kaydance Hinn 6-4, 7-5 in the No. 6 singles match.
With their 10-1 NSIC record, the Mavericks have secured at least the second seed in the NSIC Tournament. The first round of the NSIC Tournament will be held on Friday, April 21, at Huether Family Match Pointe in Sioux Falls, S.D. Minnesota State's opponent and the time of its dual are to be determined.
