OWATONNA, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team earned its ninth straight win as the Mavericks swept St. Cloud State 7-0.
With the win, MSU improves to 11-1, including an 8-1 NSIC record. With the loss, SCSU drops to 10-5, including a 5-4 NSIC record.
The Mavericks began the day winning all three of the doubles by the scores of 6-1 to secure the first team point of the dual. Senior

Avery Stilwell defeated Johana Brower and Claudia Munoz Perez in the No. 1 doubles match, while senior
Chiara Carnelutti and sophomore
Freia Lawrence bested Maria Paz Aoki and Oriana Grott in the No. 2 doubles match. Freshman
McKenna DeMarce and sophomore
Elizabeth Felderman defeated Maria Molitor and Olivia Fredrickson in the No. 3 doubles match also.
The Mavericks then swept the six singles matches in straight sets to secure the 7-0 win.
Page defeated Grott 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles match, while Lawrence bested Aoki 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 2 singles match. Carnelutti won 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles match vs. Perez, while Stilwell recorded a 6-4, 6-1 win over Kashima in the No. 4 singles match. DeMarce defeated Brower 7-5, 6-0 in the No. 5 singles match, while Felderman earned a 6-0, 6-4 win over Molitor in the No. 6 singles match.
Minnesota State continues its season on the road this Friday as it takes on the Bemidji State Beavers. The dual is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
