MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State continues its season this week as it hosts Upper Iowa on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., before hitting the road to take on Bemidji State on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., and Minnesota Crookston on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.

Concerning the Mavericks: Minnesota State enters the week the owner of an 18-12 record, including a 7-5 NSIC record. Last week, MSU swept Southwest Minnesota State (5-0 & 11-3) and St. Cloud State (7-2 & 5-4),  before splitting its series with Minnesota Duluth (L, 3-1 & W, 3-0).

Junior Ellie Tallman leads the Maverick hitters with a .386 batting average as she has tallied 34 hits and 16 RBI. Junior Kylie Sullivan is batting .318 with five home runs and 13 RBI also, while sophomore Cheyenne Behrends has tallied four home runs and 21 RBI.

Junior McKayla Armbruster leads the Mavericks in the circle this season with a 10-7 record and a 1.57 ERA. Armbruster has struck out 103 batters and has held opposing hitters to a .219 batting average. Sophomore Sophia Del Vecchio has put together a 4-3 record, to go along with a 3.21 ERA also. Junior Kacy Nickerson owns a 3-2 record to go with a 3.57 ERA as well.

Lori Meyer is in her 39th season as head coach at Minnesota State. She owns a 1,353-726-3 record. 

Concerning the Peacocks: Upper Iowa enters the week the owner of a 13-16 record, including a 5-6 NSIC record. UIU split a pair of games with Bemidji State in its most recent outings, losing 5-1 in game one before winning 6-4 in game two.

Laila Pelds is batting .430 with 40 hits and 20 RBI. Ari Charles is batting .374 with 40 hits and 27 runs scored, while Rae VanMilligan has posted a .313 batting average with 23 RBI.

Rylee McGonigle owns a 3-3 record in the circle to go along with a 4.15 ERA. Delaney Vetter has posted a 4-5 record with a 6.42 ERA and 70 strikeouts also.

Laura North is in her fifth season as head coach of the Peacocks. She owns a 79-109 record.

Concerning the Beavers: Bemdiji State enters the week the owner of a 13-15 record, including a 2-4 NSIC record. The Beavers split their most recent games with Upper Iowa (W, 5-1 & L, 6-4).

Mariah Stevenson is batting .354 with two home runs and 17 RBI, while Alexa Christenson is batting .349 with 17 runs scored and five stolen bases. Ashley Herold is batting .301 with 18 RBI also.

Kyla Damerow owns a 4-8 record in the circle to go along with a 3.87 ERA and 30 strikeouts. Stella Dolan has tallied an 8-6 record and a 4.20 ERA also.

Jordan Petersen is in her second season as head coach at Bemidji State. She owns a 24-54 record.

Concerning the Golden Eagles: Minnesota Crookston enters the week the owner of a 13-20 record, including a 1-7 NSIC record. UMC has lost its last seven games, including a pair of losses against Winona State (4-1 & 2-1) in its most recent outings.

Alina Avalos is batting .424 with five home runs and 31 RBI. Whitnee Curry is batting .341 with 17 RBI, while Paige Shwaluk has scored 27 runs.

Thayda Houser owns a 6-4 record, to go along with a 4.33 ERA and 36 strikeouts. Charlotte Dombrowski has tallied a 2-5 record to go along with a 6.07 ERA.

Nick Weinmeister is in his first season as head coach of the Golden Eagles. He owns a 13-20 record.
