Mankato, Minn. -- Minnesota State (22-7, 12-2 NSIC) dropped Monday's games against Gustavus (12-8, 6-0 MIAC) by an 11-7 final.

Jackson Hauge opened the scoring for the Mavericks in the top of the fourth inning off his team-leading fourth homer of the season giving the Mavericks the early 1-0 advantage.
Gustavus responded in the next three innings with three or more runs jumping out to an 11-2 lead in the bottom of the six.
The Mavericks rally for five runs between the eighth and ninth inning but fell to the Gusties for the first time in 37 years. The last time the Mavericks fell to Gustavus was in 1986. The Mavericks went 35-15 that year under former head coach
Dean Bowyer.
The Mavericks are back in action Wednesday to take on Upper Iowa for a midweek doubleheader with action scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m.
