Concerning the Mavericks: Minnesota State enters the week the owner of a 6-2 record. In their last outings, MSU fell to Northwest Missouri State 9-4, before defeating Washburn (5-0), Newman (8-1) and Emporia State (5-0).

Ellie Tallman leads the Maverick hitters with a .455 batting average as she has tallied 10 hits and eight RBI. Senior
Sydney Nielsen is batting .346 with nine hits, seven RBI and a team-best eight runs scored. Freshman

McKayla Armbruster leads the Mavericks in the circle this season with a 5-0 record and a 1.00 ERA. Armbruster has struck out 25 batters and has held opposing hitters to a .213 batting average. Sophomore
Sophia Del Vecchio has put together a 1-0 record, to go along with a 1.75 ERA also.
Lori Meyer is in her 39th season as head coach at Minnesota State. She owns a 1,341-716-3 record.
Concerning the Greyhounds: Assumption enters their Florida trip the owner of a 2-2 record. Last weekend, the Greyhounds swept Tiffin (10-2 & 7-4), before being swept by Findlay (4-1 & 7-2).
Summer Sheerin leads the Greyhounds with a .778 batting average, seven hits and five runs scored. Emma Bloom has driven in a team-leading five RBI. Lauren Geremia is batting .308 with four stolen bases also.
Kaelin Waldron leads the Greyhounds in the circle with a 2-1 record and a 2.47 ERA. Kya Birtz has posted a 0-0 record and a 6.00 ERA as well.
Stacey Mayer is in her first season as head coach at Assumption. She owns a 2-2 record.
Concerning the Chargers: Dominican University, N.Y., enters its Florida trip with a 0-4 record, including two losses to Findlay (9-0 & 7-5) and Tiffing (8-0 & 12-2) last weekend.
Jalaeya LaPorte is batting .429 with three hits. Toni-Jo Lopez has posted two hits and two RBI also.
Charger pitchers have combined for a 0-4 record, including a 8.72 ERA.
Samantha McDonald is in her first season as head coach of the Chargers. She owns a 0-4 record.
Concerning the Vulcans: California, Pa., enters their Florida trip with a 4-2 record. Recently, the Vulcans fell to Northern State (3-2) and Georgian Court (16-0).
Kaitlyn Achtermeier is batting .556 with five hits and six RBI. Charity Henderson has tallied six RBI and five runs scored also, while batting .400.
Caleigh Rister has posted a 1-0 record and a 1.11 ERA to go along with eight strikeouts. Kailey Larcinese owns a 3.00 ERA also.
Rick Bertagnolli enters his 30th season as head coach of the Vulcans. He owns a 926-347 record.
Concerning the Dragons: Tiffin begins the week the owner of a 4-5 record, including a sweep of Domincan, N.Y. (8-0 & 12-2) in its most recent outings.
Caitlin Wilson leads the team with 12 hits and a .480 batting average. Katie Deardoff is batting .417 with nine RBI. Taylor Whalen is batting .357 with eight runs scored.
Claire Feldkamp owns a 2-4 record, to go along with a 3.71 ERA. Isabella St. Peter has posted a 2-1 record to go with a 4.35 ERA also.
Tiffin is coached by Paige McMenemy who is in her second season with the Dragons, She owns a 26-33 record.
Concerning the Cardinals: Saginaw Valley State enters the week the owner of a 4-2 record, including wins over Minnesota Duluth (2-1) and Walsh (13-4) in its most recent outings.
Sarah Gersch is batting .364 with seven runs scored and nine RBI. Jackie Popko is batting .375 with 12 runs scored and six stolen bases. Sara Moos is batting .350 with six RBI also.
Alyssa Muench owns a 3-0 record, to go along with a 0.82 ERA and 23 strikeouts. Jaclyn Groves is 1-0 on the season with a 1.62 ERA also.
Ryan Schalk is in his first season as head coach of the Cardinals. He owns a 4-2 record.
Concerning the Eagles: Ashland enters the week the owner of a 1-7 record. The Eagles have lost four straight games, including losses to Notre Dame College (7-2) and Davis & Elkins (9-4) in their most recent outings.
Lily Rockwell is batting .400 with eight hits, while Hailey Struckman is batting .375 with four RBI. Hailey Krinn is batting .368 with five runs scored also.
Kayla Ruperto owns a 0-1 record with a 2.84 ERA. Karis Weirich is 0-1 this season with a 4.20 ERA.
Emlyn Knerem is in her sixth season as head coach at Ashland. She owns an 88-114 record.
Concerning the Timberwolves: Northwood enters its Florida trip with a 7-4 record, including a pair of wins against Missouri S&T (6-0) and Quincy (7-3) in its most recent outings.
Delanie Gale is batting .342 with nine RBI and seven runs scored. Brittany Steimel is batting .306 with nine RBI also, while Haley Frank is leading the team in runs scored with 11.
Hailey Leister owns a 5-2 record and a 1.84 ERA with 34 strikeouts. Brynn Polega has a 1-1 record and a 3.20 ERA as well.
The Timbewolves are coached by Gregg Sauve, who is in his seventh season. He owns a 150-116-1 record.

Ashley Cangiano is batting .630 with 12 RBI and 12 runs scores. Haley Bigwood is batting .423 with a team-best 13 RBI. Bella Williams has tallied 10 hits and 10 runs scored also.
Sabrina Gonzalez owns a 2-0 record to go along with a 5.86 ERA. Samantha Sylvester is 2-0 with a 2.27 ERA as well.
Andrew Klause is in fifth season as head coach at Franklin Pierce. He owns a 77-56 record.
Concerning the Fighting Knights: Lynn enters its Florida trip with a 9-5 record, including a 2-0 win over Florida Tech in its most recent outing.
Aryana Galioto is batting .355 with six runs scored, while Taylor Scala is batting .333 with 11 runs scored. Josey Sumpter has driven in five runs as well.
Haley Fardanesh owns a 4-2 record, to go along with a 1.16 ERA and 13 strikeouts. Madison Prickett is 2-1 with a 3.24 ERA also.
Cassidy Pickett is in her second season as head coach at Lynn. She owns a 25-39 record.
Minnesota State History: The 2023 season marks the 50th season of Maverick softball. MSU owns an all-time record of 1,430-806-7 (.637) in 2,243 games, and has four North Central Conference (NCC) titles (1984, 1987, 1989, 2007), five NSIC titles (2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017) and 19 appearances in the NCAA Division II National Tournament (1984, 1987, 1989, 1995, 1997, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022) to its credit. The Mavericks claimed their first National Championship in 2017 after defeating No. 1 Angelo State, 5-1, on May 29, 2017, in Salem, Va.

Lori Meyer picked up her 1,341 career win. In doing so she became the all-time winningest coach in NCAA Division II history passing the previous record of 1,340 wins set by Gary Bryce at Wayne State University (1982-21)
