SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team fell to Augustana 5-2 Saturday evening on the road.
With the loss, MSU drops to 2-1, including a 1-1 NSIC record. With the win, AU improves to 6-1, including a 2-0 conference record.
The Mavericks began the dual winning two of the three doubles matches to secure the first point.

Lois Page defeated Flore Hadjigeorgiou and Ocal Senem 6-3 in the No. 1 doubles match, while senior
Chiara Carnelutti and sophomore
Freia Lawrence bested Aleksandra Kistanova and Gabriela Jancikova 6-4 in the No. 2 doubles match.
Augustan rallied to win five of the six singles matches to secure the 5-2 win.
Freshman
Daria Podmogilaia won the lone singles match for the Mavericks as she defeated Jancikova 6-7, 6-4, 10-7 in the No. 6 singles match. The No. 1 singles match went to a third set between Page and Hadjigeorgiou, but it was Hadjigeorgiou who was able to come away with the 6-7, 6-0, 7-5 win.
Minnesota State continues its season on March 11 as it takes on Gustavus Adolphus at 8:30 a.m., in St. Peter, Minn.
