Mankato, Minn. --- No. 18 Minnesota State (11-2-5, 9-1-4 NSIC) downed Bemidji State (8-3-6, 6-3-4 NSIC) by a final of 4-0 Sunday afternoon at the Maverick All-Sports Dome.
Despite a BSU opening tap, the Mavericks own the majority of scoring chances early in the first half. Junior
Kelsey Heller notched her first career goal at the six-minute mark to give the Mavericks' the early lead.

Anna Van Wyngarden netted her fifth on the season to extend the Mavericks' lead by two with just ten minutes played in the match.
The Mavericks finished the first half outshooting the Beavers 10-7. However, Bemidji State came out of the half on fire as they took the momentum owning 11 of the 16 total shots in the second half.
The Mavericks weathered the BSU storm capitalizing on an offensive rush capped off with senior
Molly Mosher's first goal on the season in the 71st minute to give the Mavericks a commanding three-goal lead.

Allie Williams kept her foot on the gas to cap off the scoring in the 79th minute taking advantage of a Beavers mistake. Williams intercepted a BSU pass in the offensive zone sending a shot over the hands of the BSU goalkeeper for her sixth goal on the season. The Waukee, Iowa native now leads the Mavericks in points with 15 on the year.

The Mavericks will host an NSIC Tournament Match on Monday, November 6th at 1 p.m.
