OWATONNA, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team fell to Northern Iowa Saturday afternoon in an exhibition dual by the score of 6-1.
UNI swept the three doubles matches to claim the first point of the dual. Senior
Lois Page and sophomore
Avery Stillwell put up the best effort in the #2 doubles match, but they fell to Andrijana Brkic and Issa Sullivan 6-4.
The Panthers would win five of the six singles matches to secure the 6-1 win.
Chiara Carnelutti picked up the lone win for the Mavericks in the #3 singles match as she bested Lorena Cardoso 7-5, 6-3.
Minnesota State opens its regular season schedule on February 18 as it takes on Gustavus Adolphus. The dual is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., in St. Peter, Minn.
