Madison, Wis.--- Minnesota State fell to #8 Wisconsin 2-1 Saturday afternoon in Madison.

Junior goaltender Lauren Barbro and Wisconsin netminder Cami Kronish traded saves in the first half, with each recording ten as the teams were scoreless after the first period.

Wisconsin scored the game's first goal at the 12:00 mark of the second when Britta Curl found the back of the net.  Lacey Eden added what ended up being the game-winning goal early in the third period.

Senior Kelsey King cut the lead in half at the 8:39 mark of the third when she scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season

The Mavericks (13-12-0, 7-12-0 WCHA) conclude the two-game series tomorrow at 2 p.m.
