MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State concludes its four-game rode trip this weekend as it travels to Northern State on Friday and #22 MSU Moorhead on Saturday. Tip-offs are scheduled for 5:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m., respectively.
Minnesota State History: The 2022-23 season marks the 101st campaign as a varsity sport for Minnesota State men's basketball. The Mavericks are 1,410-938 (.600) in 2,348 games since the program's inception in the 1920-21 season. MSU capped its 33rd and final season as a member of the NCC in 2008 and owned a 283-267 (.515) record in 550 league games played. In the NSIC, MSU owns a 206-98 (.677) record to go with four regular-season championships and two tournament championships.
Against the Wolves: Friday's game between Minnesota State and Northern State marks their 32nd all-time meeting with MSU leading the series 17-14. The Mavericks went 1-1 against the Wolves last season, including a 65-62 loss in the first round of the NSIC Tournament on the road.
