Crookston, Minn. ---  Minnesota State never trailed Friday evening as it cruised to an 85-50 win at Minnesota,  Crookston in NSIC action.
The win pushed 11th-ranked Minnesota State to 13-2 overall and 9-2 in the NSIC.
Minnesota State shot at 41.0%, gathered 45 rebounds, recorded 25 steals, and added 12 assists.
Junior Joey Batt led the Maverick offense with 16 points hitting 6-of-7 from the floor to go with her three steals and two assists.  Sophomores Destinee Bursch added 13 and 11 points respectively, while junior Emily Herzberg pitched in 11 points.  Russo also pulled in a team-high eight rebounds.
The Mavericks scored 50 points in the paint in the win and turned 34 Golden Eagle turnovers into 39 points. 
Minnesota State travels to Bemidji State Saturday. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
