Minnesota State Unveils Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2022
Seven Individuals Slated for Sept. 23 Induction; Men's Basketball Team from 2010-11 Also to be Inducted and Schaffer and Philanthropic Award Recipients Announced

nkato, Minn. --- The Minnesota State Hall of Fame Selection Committee has announced that seven individuals have been selected for the school's Athletics Hall of Fame.
The committee also announced its "team" inductee and this year's service and philanthropic award recipients.
The new Hall of Fame members in the student-athlete category include women's track and field national champion
Lauren (Stelten) Svoboda (MSU '11), baseball standout
Josh Smith (MSU '99), women's basketball stalwart
Alex (Andrews) Shepp (MSU '09), national champion wrestler
Troy Szydel (MSU 1996-99) and All-American men's basketball guard
Jefferson Mason (2009-11).
Slated for induction in the builders category are longtime Minnesota State administrators
Deb Schulz and
Mavis Anderson.
Selected for induction in the "team" category is the
2010-11 men's basketball team that advanced to the NCAA Division II Final Four.
The Jim Schaffer Service Award will be presented to hockey off-ice official
Jim Grabianowski and this year's MSU Athletics Philanthropic Award recipients are members of the
2022 Hockey Day Minnesota Local Organizing Committee.
The date for this year's induction is Friday, Sept. 23 with the formal induction ceremony taking place at the Hall of Fame Induction Dinner held in the CSU Ballroom.
