MANKATO, Minn. --- The fourth ranked Minnesota State women's track and field program hosted the Maverick open Wednesday evening at the MSU Outdoor Track & Field Complex.
In the 100m dash, Kary Petricka finished second with a time of 12.41. Karla Reyes placed fifth with a time of 13.22.
Kynnedi Malone took home the victory in the 100m hurdles with a NCAA provisional mark of 14.00. This currently ranks 18th in the country.
In the 200m dash Amaiya Barnes finished third with a time of 26.12.
The 400m dash saw the Mavericks take first and third with Rose Gaye claiming the win with a time of 58.03.
Emma Borowicz was victorious in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.06.
In the 1500m run, Amanda Montplaisir finished third with a time of 4:34.71.
The 5000m run saw the Mavericks take first and second with Skylar Bragg claiming the victory with a time of 17:41.48. MacKenzie Gaherty finished third with a mark of 18:07.27.
In the discus throw, Katie Taylor finished second with a heave of 149' 5'' (45.56m). Taylor is 18th in division II. Madeline Fretag finished third with a mark of 146' 10'' (44.75m). Fretag holds the 25th spot in the country.
The Mavericks in the hammer throw finished first and second. Brea Perron won the event with a meet record throw of 186' 2'' (56.76m). Perron owns the seventh spot in division II. Kaylee Jensen finished second with a toss of 179' 4'' (54.56m). Jensen currently sits 19th in the country.
Taylor Elliott and Sophie Tietz finished second and third in the high jump, respectively. Elliott finished second with a height of 5' 6.50'' (1.69m) and Tietz with a mark of 5' 4.5'' (1.64m) for third place.
In the javelin throw Samantha Sunnarborg placed second with a toss of 135' (41.15m).
Mariah Williams finished second with a NCAA provisional mark of 19' 3.25'' (5.87m). Williams currently holds the 22nd spot in division II.
The Mavericks finished first and second in the pole vault with Paige Hickson taking the top of the podium with a mark of 11' 9'' (3.58m). Hickson currently holds the 23rd in division II. Paige Bauer finished second with a height of 11' 9'' (3.58m).
In the shot put, the Mavericks saw Perron follow up her performance in the hammer throw with a second-place finish in the shot put with a toss of 47' 0.75'' (14.34m). Perron is currently seventh in division two in the event.
Molly Kahl finished third for the Mavericks in the triple jump with a leap of 35' 11.25'' (10.95m).
