2022-23 Schedule Unveiled for Mavericks

Minnesota State has 17 home contests scheduled for upcoming regular season

MH_SKED     Mankato, Minn. --- Looking to build upon a second-consecutive Frozen Four appearance and a national runner-up finish, Minnesota State unveiled its 2022-23 schedule today.

The Mavericks start the year facing three teams that played in last year's national tournament.

Beginning with a home-and-home series with the University of Minnesota Oct. 7 and 8, Minnesota States faces Minnesota Duluth in a pair of games at Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in home-opening action Oct. 14-15. A pair of games at long-time foe St. Cloud State Oct. 21-22 are on the docket prior to the start of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association part of the schedule.

The Mavericks host Bowling Green Oct. 28-29 and the series with the Falcons is followed by a home-and-home series versus St. Thomas Nov. 4-5.  Northern Michigan visits the Key City Nov. 18-19 prior to a league road series at Michigan Tech Nov. 25-26 and a home series vs. Ferris State Dec. 2-3.  Away games at Bowling Green and a home series vs. Bemidji State Dec. 15-16 close our the pre-holiday part of the schedule.

Action resumes Jan. 6-7 on the road at Northern Michigan before a nonconference series at Arizona State scheduled for Jan. 13-14.  The Mavericks host Lake Superior State Jan. 20-21 before a road trip to take on Ferris State in Big Rapids, Mich., Jan. 27-28.  Another home-and-home series with St. Thomas looms Feb. 3-4 and a road set at Bemidji State (Feb. 17-18) and a home series against Michigan Tech (Feb. 24-25) are scheduled before the first round of the CCHA playoffs which begin the first weekend in March.

In all, the Mavericks have 17 home contests scheduled for the 2022-23 regular season.

Minnesota State is coming off a season in which it finished with a 38-6-0 mark, won the Central Collegiate Hockey Association regular-season and postseason tournament titles, beat Harvard and Notre Dame to claim the NCAA Albany Regional championship en route to its second straight appearance at the NCAA Frozen Four.
