SARTELL, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team won its third straight dual Friday evening as it bested St. Cloud State 5-2.

With the win, MSU improves to 14-9 on the season, including a 7-3 NSIC record. With the loss, SCSU drops to 9-9 on the season, including a 4-5 conference record.

The Mavericks began the day winning all three of the doubles matches to secure the first point of the dual. Junior Tristen Bryant-Otake and freshman Avery Stilwell defeated Maria Paz Aoki and Caludia Munoz Perez 6-1 in the No. 1 doubles match, while freshmen Hana Minisy and Elizabeth Felderman defeated Shanna Kinny and Joana Brower 6-4 in the No. 2 doubles match. Freshman Taylor Julsrud and Brynn Psooy won the No. 3 doubles match against Arisa Kashima and Sam Fitzpatrick by the score of 6-3 as well.

Minnesota State then went on to win four of the singles match to secure the 5-2 win. Bryan-Otake defeated Kashima 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles match, while Stilwell won the No. 2 singles match 6-2, 6-3 against Paz Aoki. Felderman recorded a 6-0, 6-2 win over Kinny in the No. 3 singles match, while Minisy bested Brower 1-6, 6-4, 10-2 in the No. 4 singles match.

Minnesota State concludes its NSIC schedule on Saturday as it takes on the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs. The dual is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
