SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team fell to the Augustana Vikings Saturday afternoon in the second round of the NSIC Tournament by the score of 4-0.
With the loss, MSU finishes its season with a 16-10 record. With the win, AU improves to 20-1 on the season.
The Vikings won two of the three doubles matches to secure the first point of the dual, junior
Tristen Bryant-Otake and freshman
Avery Stilwell were leading Flore Hadjigeorgiou, and Aleksandra Kistanova 4-3 in the unfinished No.1 doubles match, but the Vikings won the other two doubles matches by the scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
The Vikings then went on to in the first three singles matches to secure the 4-0 win. Valeriya Monko defeated Bryant-Otake 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 1 singles match, while Hadjigeorgiou bested Stilwell 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles match. Kistanova defeated freshman
Hana Minisy 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 4 singles match as well.
