Alex Tracy didn't allow a goal as the Mavericks skated past #4 Minnesota Duluth Friday at Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in downtown Mankato.

Cade Borchardt connected on a power play chance at 2:34 as the Mavericks increased their lead to 4-0.
Will Hillman got is stick on a shot from the point by junior defenseman
Akito Hirose at 19:15 and at the end of 40 minutes of action, Minnesota State held a 5-0 lead.
Senior center
Sam Morton's power play goal at 2:50 of the third upped the lead to 6-0 to close scoring in the games.
Borchardt finished with a three-point night on a goal and two assists, while Hirose had three assists.
Tracy, who was making his first career start tonight, finished with 16 saves in picking up his first career win and first career shutout.
The Mavericks, now 2-1-0 for the season, and the Bulldogs (2-1-0) continue nonconference action Saturday night with a 6:07 p.m. scheduled.
