New Orleans, La. --- The Minnesota State men's indoor track and field team has been ranked 18th in the week one edition of the USTFCCCA poll.

The Mavericks have claimed the top spot in two of their three meets thus far. Minnesota State finished first in both the Chuck Petersen Open and Minnesota State Invitational with scores of 216 and 291.5 and finished second in the SDSU Division II Invite scoring 72 points.

The Mavericks are joined by MSU Moorhead (17) as the only two teams ranked in the top-25 from the NSIC.

The Mavericks return to action this weekend as they host the Mark Schuck Open and Multi on Jan. 28-29.
