SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team was swept by Augustana 7-0 Sunday afternoon on the road.
MSU now owns an overall and NSIC record of 1-5, while AU improves to 5-1, including a 4-0 NSIC record.
AU won all three of the doubles matches to claim the first point of the dual. Sophomore
Kjerstin Hall and freshman
Dee Dokken fell to Grace Goble and Laura Arce Vieyra in the No. 2 doubles match by the score of 6-1.
The Vikings then won all six of the singles matches to secure the 7-0 win. Junior
Tyanna Washa dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision to Valeriya Monko in the No. 1 singles match, while freshman
Abigail Clayton lost to Goble 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 5 singles match.
Minnesota State returns to action on Friday, March 12 as it takes on Saint Benedict in Sartell, Minn. The dual is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
