ST. PETER, Minn.. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to the Sioux Falls Cougars Friday evening in St. Peter, Minn.
With the loss, the Mavericks drop to 2-6 on the season, including a 1-6 NSIC record. With the win, USF improves to 5-2 on the season and in conference play.

Tyanna Washa put up the best effort in the No. 1 doubles match as they fell to Megan Quandt and Victoria Ambrosio-Cueto by the score of 6-3.
USF then managed to win five of the six singles matches to lock down its 6-1 win. Washa picked up the lone win for the Mavericks in the No. 3 singles match as she defeated Ambrosio-Cueto 6-1, 6-0. Ryan battled Quandt in the No. 1 singles match but Quandt was able to come a away with the 7-5, 6-3 win.
Minnesota State wraps up its weekend on Sunday as it hosts the Augustana Vikings in St. Peter, Minn. The dual is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
