OWATONNA, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss to the Bemidji State Beavers Sunday afternoon in Owatonna, Minn.
With the loss, MSU drops to 2-5 on the season, including a 1-5 NSIC record. With the win, BSU improves to 6-6 on the season, including a 4-4 conference record.
The Mavericks managed to win one of the three doubles matches to open the dual, but the Beavers were able to win the other two to claim the dual's first point.

Tyanna Washa won the No. 1 doubles match by the score of 6-4. Sophomore
Kjerstin Hall and
Sarah Johansen took on Hannah Peterson and Samantha Edlund in the No. 3 doubles match, but they fell by the score of 6-3. Sophomore
Lauren Goth and freshman
Dee Dokken lost 6-0 to Laney Rutkowski and Brooke Mimmack in the No. 2 doubles match also.
The Beavers then won all six of the singles matches in straight sets to claim the 7-0 win. Ryan fell to Ariadna Lopez 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 1 singles match, while Washa suffered a 6-2, 6-3 loss to Mimmack in the No. 3 singles match.
Minnesota State returns home to take on the Sioux Falls Cougars in St. Peter, Minn. The dual is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
