ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team was swept by the University of South Dakota 7-0 Wednesday afternoon in Orlando, Fla.

With the loss, MSU drops to 5-9 on the season, while USD improves to 4-7. 

The Coyotes began the dual winning all three of the doubles matches to secure the dual's first point. The team of senior Erin Streeter and junior Monika Ryan put forth the best effort in the No. 1 doubles match, but they fell to Anastasia Bondarenko and Natka Kmoskova by the score of 6-3.

USD then won all six of the singles matches in straight sets to complete the sweep. Streeter was bested Kmoskova 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 1 singles match, while sophomore Tyanna Washa was defeated by Nanette Nylund 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 4 singles match.  

Minnesota State wraps up its spring break trip on Thursday as it takes on Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. (CST).
